Getting your finished piece:
Sgraffito is done when the clay body is at 'leather-dry' stage, meaning it has not yet been kiln-fired and is still soft enough to carve into. Once the class is over, we will ensure each piece is safely transported back to the studio to be clear-glazed & fired (making pieces food-safe). Once ready, we will return the finished pieces to you (2-3 weeks).
If you have chosen to make candle holders (+$5 per person), these will also be completed with soy wax and a choice of fragrance:
- Amber
- Coconut & Vanilla
- White Musk
- Fragrance Free
All our paints and glazes are 100% lead-free, non-toxic and food-safe.
